Lisavaird National School is a Co-Educational primary school,  situated in the village of Lisavaird in West Cork. We are located just off the N74 between the towns of Rosscarbery and Clonakilty. We are situated in the Parish of Rosscarbery and bordered immediately by the parishes of Clonakilty and Ardfield/Rathbarry. Our school is located on a spacious site consisting of an abundance of playground space, a pitch and a tarmac space. There is a vast amount of space for the children to enjoy at break times. The local Hall Committee kindly allow the use of the nearby Pike Hall for school activities.

The school is under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Cork and Ross. We endeavour in all we do to promote the Catholic ethos but also we welcome children of other faiths and none and we embrace the diversity they bring to our school.

We are currently a 3 teacher school. Our numbers allow us the advantage of a favourable pupil/teacher ratio. As well as engaging in the primary school curriculum, our children take part in many different activities such as  the RDS Science Blast Exhibition, Junior Entreupreneur Programme, Seachtain na Gaeilge, GAA, Christmas play, Irish dancing, Tin whistle lessons, Speech and Drama, Tag rugby, Yoga, Drama, Quizzes, Active Week, Athletics, Soccer, School tours, Green Schools, Active Schools, Cork City Sports and Health promotion activities.  Our school caters for all of our children’s talents and strengths.
